Statement on reports that 'information was transferred to Israel from the Kürecik radar base'
The Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) has stated that the claim that "information was transferred to Israel from the Kürecik radar base" is not true.
In a statement made on the DMM's social media account, it was stated that the Kürecik radar base was established in line with Turkey's national security and national interests and aims to protect NATO allied countries.
Emphasizing that the data obtained from the Kürecik radar base is shared only with NATO allied countries within a specific framework under NATO procedures, the statement noted the following:
"It is absolutely out of the question for the data obtained from the radar base in question to be shared with Israel or similar countries that are not NATO allies.
Black propaganda conducted in the opposite direction, if not a product of negligence, can only be evaluated as subversive actions within the scope of fifth-column activities.
In addition, the public sharing of misleading information regarding our country's internal and external security is also a crime under Article 217/A of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK).
Turkey is against Israel's activities aimed at destabilizing the Middle East, and it is never out of the question for it to provide any support for such actions.
Turkey demonstrates this approach within NATO as well and takes the necessary stance against Israel's participation in NATO exercises."
