While the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced inflation figures below expectations, the salary increase rates for millions of retirees and civil servants have also become clear. While SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive a 15.75 percent raise, the salary difference for civil servants and civil servant retirees was 11.54 percent.

With these rates, the new salary of a retiree whose base salary is 12,500 TL has risen to 14,468 TL. The lowest civil servant pension has increased from 17,588 TL to 19,617 TL.

SHARP REACTION FROM ÖZGÜR DEMİRTAŞ

Finance expert Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş reacted to the announced inflation and raise rates on his social media account. Demirtaş expressed his criticism of the current situation by stating, "I am sad for the retirees. I WARNED by begging for 10 years... Was I lying?"

NEW REGULATIONS EXPECTED
