The CHP Communication Center issued a statement regarding the reported dispute between Chairman Özgür Özel and Elazığ MP Gürsel Erol.
According to information obtained, a verbal dispute occurred between CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and CHP Elazığ MP Gürsel Erol during a closed-door parliamentary group meeting the other day.
The dispute between CHP Chairman Özel and MP Erol ended shortly after it began.
Following the incident, the CHP Communication Center issued a statement on the matter via its social media account.
The statement said, "A dialogue that took place between our Chairman Özgür Özel and our Elazığ MP Gürsel Erol during the closed-door parliamentary group meeting the other day is being intentionally distorted by some media outlets.
In the dialogue between our Chairman and our MP, who have a long-standing personal friendship, no expression contrary to party culture was used, and no behavior inconsistent with the rapport between them was exhibited."
