Demiryürek made the following statement on his social media account regarding the mpox virus claim:
"Information circulating on some social media accounts claiming that a monkeypox case has been detected at the İskenderun State Hospital does not reflect the truth. There are no monkeypox patients being diagnosed or treated in hospitals in İskenderun."
