An investigation was launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against 6 suspects, including 2 lawyers, regarding allegations of interference in judicial processes conducted at various courthouses in Istanbul between 2022 and 2024 in exchange for benefits.
In the investigation conducted into the organization determined to have been established under the leadership of a suspect named M.Ş., instructions were given to the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams to apprehend the suspects and seize criminal evidence.
In the operation organized by the gendarmerie teams, 5 suspects, including 2 lawyers, were detained. A large number of digital materials were seized during searches conducted at the suspects' addresses. Two unlicensed pistols were also seized at the suspects' addresses.
In the statement made by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated: "Judicial proceedings have been initiated against the lawyers mentioned in the testimonies taken within the scope of the investigation conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office; the suspects have been detained. A letter has been sent to the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) regarding the judges and public prosecutors mentioned in the testimonies for their information and for the appreciation of the necessary actions. The investigation is being carried out meticulously in all its aspects."
