Statement to 12punto from Zafer Party Acting Chairman Şehirlioğlu: 'It is not acceptable'

Zafer Party Acting Chairman Prof. Dr. Ali Şehirlioğlu made the following statements to our columnist Müyesser Yıldız while the situation was still unfolding:

"The arrest of our Chairman is not something that can be accepted. It is impossible to accept the law becoming this politicized and becoming a tool of politics.

All of this will pass. The Zafer Party has a path forward.

It is not something that can be accepted for the state to engage with a terrorist leader like Abdullah Öcalan.

One does not negotiate with terror; one fights it.

As the Zafer Party, we will continue this fight, God willing. Our professor will be released soon, and good things will happen."
