Stay of execution granted against the closure of Açık Radyo
The Administrative Court has issued a stay of execution regarding the revocation of Açık Radyo's license by RTÜK and its subsequent closure.
Açık Radyo had been shut down after its license was revoked by RTÜK. Açık Radyo took the matter to the administrative court. The Administrative Court has stayed the execution of the license revocation decision issued by RTÜK.
In a statement released by Açık Radyo, it was stated: "In the specified process, the Administrative Court, where the case regarding the broadcast suspension and fine decision is being heard, has decided to stay the execution of the transaction subject to the lawsuit until the defense and interim decision response of the defendant administration are received, or until the period for responding to the defense and interim decision expires and a new decision is made, on the grounds that the transaction in question is aimed at stopping the program broadcast and is of a nature that could cause irreparable damage if implemented."
