Teams from the Istanbul Organized Crime Control Branch had detained stockbroker Nihat Özçelik within the scope of an investigation conducted against him.
Detained on December 16 on charges of 'threat' and 'blackmail,' Özçelik was arrested following his interrogation by the judgeship.
Özçelik was previously being tried with a request for up to 38 years in prison on allegations of bribing a police officer and 'attempting to influence a judicial official' in line with an investigation conducted against him.
