Storm warning for Istanbul from Meteorology and the Governor's Office: Downpours also expected

The General Directorate of Meteorology and the Istanbul Governor's Office have issued a warning to citizens regarding strong winds and storms expected to be effective in Istanbul starting tomorrow morning.
According to assessments, the wind is expected to blow strongly from the north and northeast across the city, occasionally reaching storm force. Authorities have urged residents to be cautious and take precautions against potential negative impacts such as falling trees and poles, roof damage, and disruptions to transportation.
It was reported that the weather in Istanbul will be partly cloudy today, and partly to occasionally very cloudy tomorrow. Localized downpours and thunderstorms are expected during the morning and afternoon hours.
In the statement from the Meteorology office, it was noted that strong winds are also expected in the north and east of the Marmara region. It was recorded that in addition to Istanbul, the wind will increase in intensity starting from the morning hours in the vicinity of Kırklareli, Edirne, Tekirdağ, Bursa, Yalova, Kocaeli, and Sakarya.
Furthermore, a warning for strong winds and occasional storms from the north and northeast was issued for the vicinity of Çanakkale and Balıkesir, as well as the northern parts of İzmir and Manisa. It is predicted that these adverse weather conditions could persist until Saturday night.
Strong precipitation is also expected in some parts of the Black Sea region. It was reported that locally strong and thundery downpours may be seen in the east of Samsun, the western and inland parts of Ordu, and the northern and inland parts of Sinop.
