Striking assessment from Ahmet Ercan on Silivri earthquake aftershocks: 'Interesting developments in the North Marmara'

Geophysical Engineer Prof. Dr. Övgün Ahmet Ercan, who shared a map of the aftershocks and accumulation areas following the earthquake and provided an assessment based on this map, used noteworthy expressions.

Ercan made the following post:

"There are interesting developments in the North Marmara.

While the focus of the small earthquakes migrated from Silivri towards Büyükçekmece yesterday, they began to align towards Marmara Ereğlisi on the western arm today.

This was the expected situation.

It is clear that most of the stress transfer has moved to the East, towards B. Çekmece."
