Striking claim from Fatih Altaylı regarding the provocation at martyr funerals! 'Some ruling party members...'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel was subjected to a verbal attack at the funeral ceremony in Manisa for Infantry Contracted Private Enis Budak, who was martyred as a result of an attack by PKK terrorists in Northern Iraq.

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, meanwhile, defended the provocation that Özel was subjected to, stating, "One of them is supposedly going to show off in Manisa. What happened? This nation knows very well who is who. It doesn't call everywhere a thoroughfare. Hopefully, we will prepare for March 31 with patience. We must prepare for March 31 in such a way that they should have neither the face nor the nerve to come to our door. I expect this from you."

Journalist Fatih Altaylı, in an article he published on his own website titled 'Will you be able to be human!', drew attention to the acts of provocation occurring at martyr funerals.

"USED TO SMEAR THE OPPOSITION"

Stating that martyr funerals are used to smear the opposition, Altaylı wrote that some ruling party members are sent to funerals for this very reason.

Altaylı used the following expressions in his article:

"They attack opposition party representatives who have come there to share the pain and show respect to the martyr, committing the greatest disrespect that can be done to the martyr and the grieving family, turning a funeral into a place of political fighting and then leaving.

The so-called press fed by the ruling power also dresses up these reports and uses them to portray opposition parties as terrorists, and not a single soul among them comes out and says, 'This is shameful now.'

They don't even criticize the cow-thieving scoundrels who turn funerals into places of fighting.

And those martyrs, whose funerals are used solely and exclusively to smear the opposition, are forgotten before they are even put into the ground.

The revelry continues unabated.

Those who have no respect for this nation, those who insult this nation, are the ones who turn those funerals into a show, who use them as material for politics.

It is not really possible to call them a part of the nation.

Because the prerequisite for being a nation is to be human."
