Striking claim from Ümit Özdağ: Clashes broke out between locals and DEM Party supporters at a TOKİ construction site in Samandağ, resulting in deaths and injuries

While the Turkish political agenda is currently focused on a "terror-free Turkey" and the commission established to discuss this issue, Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who has expressed opposition to this commission, is making notable statements.

Claiming that the new initiative will create problems, Zafer Party Chairman Özdağ shared a post regarding an incident he alleges took place in Samandağ, Hatay. 

In his post, Özdağ stated the following:

"It is reported that clashes have broken out in Samandağ, Hatay, between Samandağ locals and individuals identified as DEM Party supporters working at TOKİ construction sites, resulting in deaths and injuries. 

It is alleged that provocateurs are inciting the public with the slogan 'The borders of Kurdistan have reached Hatay.' 

A DEM Party delegation is scheduled to visit Samandağ tomorrow. 

Some individuals who called our Hatay provincial chairman from Samandağ invited the Zafer Party provincial administration to Samandağ tomorrow for support. While Zafer Party officials are monitoring developments moment by moment, they will not be present during the DEM delegation's visit to avoid providing any opportunity for provocations in Samandağ. 

We call on state officials to prevent those who wish to play dangerous games in Hatay."
