Striking claim regarding Osman Kavala! 'We are going to experience such a process that…'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and CHP leader Özgür Özel's recent meeting continues to generate repercussions.

While Erdoğan signaled a 'softening period' in politics regarding the meeting, the opposition front emphasizes that it is not a softening but a 'normalization'.

Journalists İsmail Küçükkaya and Kürşad Oğuz evaluated the softening/normalization process in politics on the program 'Aslında' broadcast on Halk TV.

Küçükkaya said, “We are going to experience such a process that Özgür Özel will meet with Erdoğan; Erdoğan will discuss this with Bahçeli, and they will reach a consensus on certain issues. They will proceed step by step. I believe the Kavala issue will also be resolved within a clear process in the near future.”

İsmail Küçükkaya used the following expressions in his statements:

"Certain concrete steps need to be taken with the consent of the MHP. For example, the release of the February 28 generals was a gain of 100 percent normalization. If we recall how the mechanism for this worked; this issue came up during the meeting between President Erdoğan and Özel. On the day a concrete step was taken on this matter, the President's Chief of Staff, Ambassador Hasan Doğan, called Namık Tan, who participated in the meeting with the CHP, and said, 'Our President has given instructions, that issue raised by Özgür Özel has been resolved.' There is also MHP's approval here.

There will be no normalization step that the MHP does not approve of. We are going to experience such a process that Özgür Özel will meet with Erdoğan; Erdoğan will discuss this with Bahçeli, and they will reach a consensus on certain issues. They will proceed step by step.

"THIS NORMALIZATION WILL NOT AFFECT DEMİRTAŞ IN THE SHORT TERM"

I believe the Kavala issue will also be resolved within a clear process in the near future. I am of the opinion that Bahçeli will also give his consent to this and that such a mechanism will function by citing the high interests of the country. I am of the opinion that this normalization will not affect Demirtaş in the short term.”
