Striking claim regarding the Red Crescent, which sold tents during the February 6 earthquakes: 31 soldiers were assigned!

It has been claimed that 31 military personnel serving as tailors were sent by the Gendarmerie General Command to the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay)—which was revealed to have sold tents from its inventory to the Ahbap Association for money following the February 6 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş—to assist with tent production.

According to a report by Hazar Dost from Sözcü, the Gendarmerie General Command's 2023 activity report indicates that military personnel were sent to the Red Crescent, which was at the center of controversy following the earthquake, for the purpose of sewing tents. 

According to the report, 31 personnel serving as tailors at the Tailoring Directorate under the command of the Land Forces Command were sent to the Red Crescent to sew tents after the earthquake.

During those days, when there was a debate over the fact that tents were being sold to various institutions for money, soldiers were also involved in the sewing of those very tents.
