Striking claim regarding the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ! 'Police and MIT...'

The terrorist organization PKK carried out a terrorist attack on TUSAŞ on October 23. In the treacherous attack, 5 people were martyred and 22 citizens were injured.

Journalist İsmail Saymaz brought a striking claim regarding the TUSAŞ attack to the agenda during a live broadcast on Halk TV.

Claiming that TUSAŞ was warned by the police and MIT before the attack, Saymaz stated the following:

"According to the information that reached me, both the police and the intelligence agency warned TUSAŞ at the beginning of October to increase its security measures. Some sources even suggest that this might have been October 2. This warning was issued to both the Presidency of Defense Industries and TUSAŞ. In response to this warning, they cited the budget as a reason, said they would do it, and clearly, they did not."

Stating that there is a gendarmerie checkpoint outside the TUSAŞ campus, Saymaz said:

"Another piece of information is this: there is another barrier 650 meters before the main gate. This barrier is under the control of the gendarmerie. There are reportedly 4 gendarmerie officers on duty here. Either it is sometimes open, or if the barrier is closed, they do not search the cars. I suppose because this taxi was also used by TUSAŞ personnel, it created a sense of familiarity. For this reason, they did not search this vehicle. However, TUSAŞ, which was warned to 'increase your measures' as of the beginning of October, should have at least increased the number of gendarmerie at this barrier point from 4 to 14. But even this measure was not taken. We understand that the warnings from both the police and intelligence were not evaluated as they should have been, and measures were not taken."
