Ayşe Ceren Saltoğlu, an employee of T.C.'s father Bülent Cihantimur's company, had been the only person arrested in the case. Saltoğlu, who was arrested for "aiding and abetting a criminal" and "concealing evidence," was released after 38 days.

Regarding the matter, Hacı Orhan, the lawyer for Oğuz Murat Aci's family, stated that Bülent Cihantimur was also a person who “did the same job in the same situation” as Saltoğlu, and said the following:

"Someone had to be arrested, and that was Ayşe Ceren Saltoğlu. After she was arrested, what changed for this person, what condition changed that you lifted her detention? If she was arrested due to the suspicion of flight, these people are capable of fleeing abroad within two hours. If the issue is flight, they can flee, that is."

"While someone else should have been the one caught, she was caught. I mean, there is someone else who did the same job in the same situation. If Ayşe Ceren is being tried and was arrested for helping Eylem Tok and her son, Bülent Cihantimur also took them to the airport. In other words, even though the father and Ayşe Ceren committed the same crime, only Ayşe Ceren was arrested, the father was not. We say, “If this woman was arrested, the father should also be arrested.”"

Stating that the ones who should have been arrested are the 9 children at the scene, lawyer Orhan expressed his grievance regarding this as follows:

"We filed a complaint regarding the 9 children at the scene. They need to be included in the investigation. If there is anyone who should be arrested, it is the children at the scene. We are a bit resentful about that matter. Among them, there is someone who said, ‘I took the phone at the scene.’ He confessed to this. Why wasn't this child arrested? Those 9 people are all children of powerful men. Otherwise, everything was going very well at the beginning."
