Striking July 15 coup attempt message from Kılıçdaroğlu: 'If it had succeeded'

Continuing to share his views on the current agenda via his social media account, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu this time addressed the July 15 coup attempt and delivered striking messages through his post.

Asking and answering the question of what kind of Turkey we would have woken up to if the July 15 coup attempt had succeeded, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu wrote the following:

The July 15 coup attempt, which the Co-Chair of the Greater Middle East Project (BOP) saw as a "gift from God," is a coup attempt, but July 20 is the civilian coup of the assigned Co-Chair..!

Democracy ended with the July 20 coup.

The Parliament was dissolved.

It is the day the one-man regime effectively came into force.

If July 15 had succeeded;

• Democracy would have been shelved!

• The powers of the Parliament would have been usurped!

• Tens of thousands of people would have been thrown into prisons!

• Thousands of people would have lost their jobs!

• There would have been deaths and injuries!

• The legal system would have collapsed, and justice would have ended!

• The economy would have hit rock bottom, and the dollar would have been 30 liras!

• The country would have been condemned to a one-man regime!

In your opinion, was the coup attempt really prevented?

The truth has a habit of coming out sooner or later!
