Striking message regarding potential new party discussions following resignation from CHP: Cemil Tugay speaks clearly

Cemil Tugay resigned from his party, citing the events within the CHP during the absolute nullity process as the reason.

Stating that he will continue his duties as mayor as an independent, Tugay expressed his hope to return to the CHP if conditions change in the future.

Announcing that he will continue his mayoral duties as an independent, Tugay stated that he could join a new party if Özgür Özel were to establish one, noting that the decisions to be made by the CHP leader would be decisive in his political roadmap.

Tugay, whose preference in a potential new party process is a subject of curiosity, gave his answer by pointing to the decision that Özgür Özel will make.

NEW PARTY STATEMENT FROM CEMİL TUGAY

Speaking to journalist Yağız Barut, Tugay claimed that the party leadership is trying to reshape the CHP through appointments, dismissals, and expulsion decisions. Arguing that the opportunity to engage in politics within the party has therefore disappeared, Tugay said that he had not considered leaving the CHP a few days before his resignation, but that the developments had changed his decision.

Tugay stated that they have been in a close relationship with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and have been acting together since the change convention. Expressing that the decisions Özel will make are of great importance to him, Tugay announced that he would join the new party if it were established.

Tugay also added that the criticisms coming from the current management within the party do not carry any importance for him.
