Striking truth about the hospitals closed in the Newborn Gang scandal!

In Istanbul, it was announced that the licenses of 19 hospitals linked to the baby-killing Newborn Gang—which referred newborn emergency patients to private hospitals they had pre-arranged agreements with, causing their deaths and generating illicit profit—had been revoked and the facilities closed.

However, it has been determined that the hospitals in question still appear as active in the system of the Ministry of Health's Department of Private Hospitals. It was found that the list of active hospitals held by the Ministry of Health is not up to date.

According to a report in Birgün, Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul MP Turan Taşkın Özer drew attention to the fact that the hospitals involved in the scandal still appear as active on the lists during his speech at a parliamentary commission meeting, stating, "We have clearly determined that the hospitals whose licenses were revoked still appear as active and operational in the Ministry of Health's information processing systems and on its website."

THE MINISTRY DID NOT RESPOND

Özer stated that he had contacted the Ministry of Health and requested documentation for them to rectify the issue. However, he expressed that he had not received any response to the email he sent as a member of parliament, despite ten days having passed.
