It has been reported that an armed attack took place at the Selçuk University Faculty of Health Sciences. Bestami Serdar E., who is alleged to be a student at the faculty, shot Deputy Dean Dr. Müjdat Yeşildal before attempting suicide.

According to a report by Gerçek Gündem, the attacker attempted to commit suicide after shooting the deputy dean. Police teams and ambulances were dispatched to the scene. It was noted that the injured faculty member was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

It was learned that the attack, which occurred around 15:00, was carried out by an individual named Bestami Serdar E. Deputy Dean Dr. Müjdat Yeşildal was shot with a handgun by the attacker. After shooting the deputy dean, Bestami Serdar E. attempted to shoot himself.

Following the attack, both Bestami Serdar E. and Dr. Müjdat Yeşildal were transported to the hospital.
