Student takes their own life at a KYK dormitory in Karabük
A student has taken their own life at the İsmail Necati Efendi Male Student Dormitory, affiliated with the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK), in the Safranbolu district of Karabük.
In the Safranbolu district of Karabük, Berkay Yıldırım, a student at the Faculty of Letters, Department of Art History, who was staying at the İsmail Necati Efendi Male Student Dormitory affiliated with the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK), has taken his own life.
Upon notification by those nearby, medical teams dispatched to the scene determined that Berkay Yıldırım, who jumped from the 3rd floor while his roommates had gone to the cafeteria for suhoor, had lost his life.
According to reports by Z Haber; it was determined that before taking his own life, Yıldırım had deleted his photos from WhatsApp and social media applications, and had written "I hope this is my last day in this world (26.03.2024 01:30)" in his biography on the social networking site Instagram.
