Students poisoned by school lunch in Istanbul: 102 people hospitalized
In a private school in Kartal, 102 students who experienced nausea and dizziness after lunch were taken to hospitals on suspicion of food poisoning. It was reported that the students are in good health.
In a private educational institution in the Abdulrrahmangazi neighborhood of Istanbul's Kartal district, 102 students sought medical attention at hospitals following lunch due to complaints of nausea and dizziness. The students had consumed soup, pizza, pasta, and tiramisu in the school cafeteria. After falling ill following the meal, the students reported their condition to their teachers.
Immediately after the incident, medical teams were dispatched to the school. Some of the students who sought hospital care on suspicion of poisoning were transported by ambulance, while others reached medical facilities on their own. Initial examinations revealed that the students' general health condition is good.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. Samples were taken from the food the students consumed and sent for laboratory analysis.
