The Ministry of National Education's practice of taking students to morning prayers as part of the "I Am Sensitive to My Environment, I Protect My Values Project" (ÇEDES) continues. Despite reactions from educators, the Istanbul Çekmeköy District Directorate of National Education took students to morning prayer within the framework of the "Peace Together" program. Participation of students and their families was requested for the event held at the Fatma Talip Kahraman Mosque.

According to the report in BirGün newspaper, students from 5 primary, middle, and high schools were targeted within the scope of the event. Following the event, images of the children at the mosque were shared on the Directorate's social media account with the following statements:

"The 5th event held on Sunday, March 10, with the participation of our students and parents under the ÇEDES Project, coordinated by the Çekmeköy District Directorate of National Education and our District Mufti's Office. We thank the Çekmeköy Municipality for serving soup."
