Successive resignations in the AKP
AKP Küçükçekmece District Chair Nejat Öztürk announced his resignation on his social media account, stating, "I regret to state that I have unfortunately not received the support and feedback we expected regarding the structural adjustments we deemed necessary to move our party back to the position of the leading party in our district, which we conveyed to our Provincial Presidency." Following this, another AKP district chair announced his resignation.
AKP Küçükçekmece District Chair Nejat Öztürk announced his resignation from his post in a post on his social media account and made the following statement:
"During the nine-month period I have been in office, we worked day and night with our organization; we achieved many important successes and endeavored to represent our party and our esteemed President in the best possible way.
However, I regret to state that I have unfortunately not received the support and feedback we expected regarding the structural adjustments we deemed necessary to move our party back to the position of the leading party in our district, which we conveyed to our Provincial Presidency."
ANOTHER RESIGNATION
Following this, AKP Bağcılar District Chair Muhammed Yavuz Gültepe also announced that he had resigned.
Making a statement on his social media account, Gültepe wrote the following:
"My esteemed fellow party members and my dear neighbors in Bağcılar,
As of today, I have resigned from my position as District Chair, which I began at the 8th Ordinary Bağcılar Congress held on 18.01.2025.
I express my gratitude and respect to our Provincial Chair, Mr. Abdullah Özdemir, who entrusted this honorable duty to me with his approval, never withheld his support, and has now accepted my resignation request with understanding.
I would also like to thank my esteemed fellow party members, with whom we took every step together and faced every struggle together while carrying out this honorable duty, for their sacrifices, efforts, and friendship.
I wish success in advance to our new District Chair and the new Board of Directors who will take over the flag of struggle for our 2028 and 2029 goals under the leadership of our President and Chairman Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the guidance of our Provincial Chair Mr. Abdullah Özdemir.
I declare to our esteemed organization and our neighbors in Bağcılar that I will continue to live as a soldier of our cause for our Century of Turkey goals and that I will be the greatest supporter of my fellow party members who will take over the flag."
