Suicide attempt on the Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line
Metro İstanbul has announced that a passenger attempted suicide at the Taksim station on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, and that the Taksim station has been closed.
The M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line's Taksim station was the site of a suicide attempt.
In a statement released by Metro İstanbul, it was announced that the Taksim station has been closed.
The statement indicated that services are continuing between the Yenikapı-Şişhane and Osmanbey-Hacıosman stations.
The following statement was made by Metro İstanbul:
"Due to a passenger's suicide attempt at our Taksim station on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, our Taksim station has been closed to operations. Our services are operating on a normal schedule between the Yenikapı-Şişhane and Osmanbey-Hacıosman stations, and as a shuttle service between Şişhane and Osmanbey."
