Suicide incident on Marmaray: Services suspended

On the Marmaray line, two people jumped onto the tracks near Darıca Station this morning, taking their own lives. Train services were temporarily suspended following the incidents. Passengers are being safely evacuated at stations.
The first incident occurred at Güzelyalı Station, where a passenger jumped onto the tracks, prompting the suspension of services.
Approximately one hour later, a similar incident took place at Darıca Station. A second person jumped onto the tracks and took their own life, prompting a second official statement.
DELAYS IN SERVICES
In an official statement from Marmaray authorities, it was noted that services would operate with delays due to the incident. The announcement made via social media included the following:
"Dear passengers; due to a distressing incident that occurred at Marmaray Güzelyalı Station, our trains are operating on a single track between Aydıntepe and Kaynarca stations, and Marmaray services are running with delays. Passengers are hereby notified."
