Süleyman Soylu: 'The Turkish passport will be the most valuable in the world'

Chairman of the TBMM Interior Commission and AK Party Istanbul Deputy Süleyman Soylu met with Turkish youth at an event held in Stuttgart, Germany. Addressing the young people, Soylu delivered important messages regarding Turkey's future and called on them to "uphold your values."

Emphasizing that Turkey has left behind its 300-year period of decline, Soylu said, "Our country is embarking on a completely different journey with its infrastructure and the geography surrounding it. Together, we are preparing to have our say to the entire world."

''THE TURKISH PASSPORT WILL BE THE MOST VALUABLE PASSPORT''

Stating that Turkey will reach a stronger position in the future, Soylu said, "Pressures will be overcome, the geography where Turkey is located will find peace, and the Republic of Turkey's passport will be the most valuable passport," he stated.

Noting that important duties fall upon Turkish youth in Germany, Soylu said, "You are undertaking a very important mission here. You must uphold your values and be the best in every field you are in."

''PROTECTING SYRIANS IS OUR HUMANITARIAN DUTY''

Touching upon Turkey's stance toward Syrians, Soylu said, "What we are doing is humanitarian. We have hosted millions of people right next to our border and in our country. They tried to manufacture racism and xenophobia over this. However, there is no racism in our civilization," he said.

Soylu stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has also maintained a determined stance on this issue, adding, "They told him, 'You will lose the election because of these people.' But he had faith, and within the framework of that faith, he did not abandon people to death," he said.

DEFENSE INDUSTRY STATEMENT

Emphasizing that Turkey has made great progress in the defense industry, Soylu said, "We do not have to wait to see if they will give us the Eurofighter or if they will modernize our F-16s. We will build our own aircraft engines and we will complete this work within 6-8 years," he stated.

Referring to the progress in UAV and UCAV projects during his tenure as Minister of Interior, Soylu said, "When I took office, only one hour of UAV flight was being conducted per year. By the time I left office, we had reached 50 thousand hours of annual UAV flight. Turkey has now reached a completely different point in this field as well," he said.

Stating that he trusts the youth greatly, Soylu said, "Today, our youth know the world better; they know their families, their civilizations, and the importance of Turkey better than we do. That is why I have no concerns about the future," he said.

Soylu concluded his speech with the following words:

"The next few years are very important. When we successfully overcome this process together, Turkey's path will be completely cleared. My only request from you is that whatever job you do, do it the best. Be the best teacher, the best tradesperson, the best mother, the best business person. Do your job in the best way possible and contribute to Turkey's rise."
