Support for AKP from HÜDA PAR
HÜDA PAR leader Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu announced that they will support the People's Alliance candidates in Ankara and Istanbul, and that an alliance may also be possible in Izmir.
HÜDA PAR will support the People's Alliance candidates in three metropolitan cities in the local elections. The decision was announced by the party's chairman, Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu.
Stating that they will support the People's Alliance candidate in Ankara and Istanbul, Yapıcıoğlu said, "Something similar will likely happen in Izmir as well."
Making statements during a program he attended on 25 TV, Yapıcıoğlu said, "We have decided to provide support in a few metropolitan cities. In most other places, we have reached a decision for HÜDA PAR to enter the elections with its own logo, its own name, and its own candidates, and we have shared this decision with the public. We will support the People's Alliance candidates in Istanbul and Ankara. Something similar will likely happen in Izmir as well."
Yapıcıoğlu stated, "In some places, in some electoral districts, it could be in some provinces, it could even be in some towns, some alliances with different parties or different groups may develop there. Time will tell."
Yapıcıoğlu said that they will announce the mayoral candidates for some provinces at a candidate introduction program they will hold in Şanlıurfa.
