Support for Espressolab from Mesut Özil
Following CHP leader Özgür Özel's call to boycott Espressolab, AKP politicians have expressed their support for the coffee chain. AKP Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) member Mesut Özil shared his support after drinking coffee at an Espressolab location, stating, "Continuing to win both on the field and in hearts."
CHP leader Özgür Özel called for a boycott of certain companies on the grounds that they did not provide coverage for the hundreds of thousands of people protesting the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. He also added the coffee chain Espressolab to the list. Following this call, AKP politicians and accounts close to the AKP on social media began sharing posts in support of Espressolab.
AKP MKYK member Mesut Özil also shared a post in support of Espressolab, drinking coffee with AKP Youth Branch President Yusuf İbiş.
Özil captioned his post with "Number 10 coffee" and added the phrase, "Continuing to win both on the field and in hearts."
