Surprising rain comment from Minister Yumaklı: 'A blessing from my Lord, it eased the fight against the fire'

Making a statement regarding the forest fires that have broken out in many parts of Turkey in recent days, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that the fire on the Sakarya and Bilecik line has been largely brought under control. Drawing attention to the rain that fell in the region in the morning hours, Yumaklı said, “A blessing from my Lord. This rain has greatly eased our work.”

58 KILOMETERS OF FOREST ROAD OPENED

Emphasizing that the teams worked with great devotion throughout the night, Minister Yumaklı stated, “Just last night, our colleagues opened 58 kilometers of forest road within 6 hours. This is a very striking figure in terms of explaining the scale of the intervention.”

Noting that great success was achieved in bringing the fire under control despite the rugged structure of the forest area, Yumaklı said, “We have heroes who fought the flames all night long inside the forest, among the trees.
