Suspect attempting to circulate counterfeit gold caught
In Adıyaman, an individual attempting to sell counterfeit gold was caught by police following complaints from jewelers. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
According to the information obtained, an individual identified as K.G. sold a total of 17.14 grams of gold to two different jewelers operating in the city center, receiving 52 thousand TL in exchange for the counterfeit gold. After realizing the gold was fake, both jewelers reported the situation to police teams.

CAUGHT AT THE HOTEL WHERE HE WAS STAYING
Teams from the Public Security Branch Office arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation. Following the work of the police teams, the individual identified as K.G. was caught at the hotel where he was staying in Diyarbakır. During the search of the detained individual, 50 counterfeit gold earrings with a market value of 100 thousand TL were seized. After completing the procedures at the Adıyaman Provincial Police Department, the individual was referred to the Adıyaman Courthouse.

An investigation into the matter has been launched.
