Suspect who fired shots into the air at İsmailağa Mosque apprehended
M.Ş.A., who fired shots into the air in the courtyard of the İsmailağa Mosque in Fatih, was apprehended by police teams in Üsküdar. It was learned that the suspect carried out the act due to a debt dispute with the imam.
M.Ş.A., who fled after firing shots into the air in the courtyard of the İsmailağa Mosque in Fatih, has been apprehended by police teams. The incident occurred at the mosque yesterday evening. M.Ş.A., who arrived at the mosque during the Friday prayer time, fired 7 shots into the air in the courtyard before leaving the scene.

Upon receiving the report, police teams arrived at the mosque and found 5 shell casings during their investigation in the courtyard. The vehicle used by the suspect was found abandoned on Camcı Çeşmesi Street behind the mosque. The moment of the incident was captured on security cameras.

As a result of the efforts, M.Ş.A. was apprehended in Üsküdar. During a search of the suspect, the weapon used in the incident, a magazine, and 7 cartridges were seized. M.Ş.A. will be referred to the courthouse following police procedures.

SECURITY MEASURES INCREASED
According to the information obtained, it was learned that M.Ş.A. had a debt dispute with the mosque's imam and fired shots in the mosque courtyard for this reason. While the incident caused concern among the mosque congregation, police teams have increased security measures.
