Suspect who harassed a young woman in Adana arrested!

University student B.A. (24), who boarded a public bus from the Merkez Sarıçam district of Adana, reacted to H.S. (29), a foreign national sitting in the seat behind her near Baraj Street in the Seyhan district, alleging that he had harassed her.

After other passengers subdued the suspect, H.S., the driver stopped the bus and reported the incident to the police.

Upon the report, teams from the Seyhan District Police Department arrived at the scene and took the suspect into custody.

In her statement, B.A. claimed that she had seen the suspect around her home before, that he had followed her from time to time, and that he had finally harassed her on the bus.

The suspect, in his statement, claimed that he did not commit harassment.

The suspect, who was referred to the courthouse after procedures at the police station, was arrested by the duty magistrate.

The young woman's reaction to the suspect sitting in the seat behind her and the intervention of other passengers were recorded by the in-vehicle security camera.
