Suspect who threatened Minguzzi's family arrested

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that the suspect, identified as Ç.D., had made threatening posts directed at the family on social media.

The suspect, who was taken into custody by police teams in Ankara and brought to Istanbul, was arrested by the on-duty criminal judgeship of peace on charges of "threatening with more than one person."

In the investigation regarding the threatening social media posts, 6 suspects in Istanbul and 1 in Kahramanmaraş had previously been arrested. Thus, the number of suspects arrested within the scope of this investigation has risen to 8.

WHAT HAPPENED?

A dispute occurred between Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who went to the market in Hasanpaşa Neighborhood on January 24 with his friends to buy skateboard equipment, and B.B. and U.B. As they were trying to leave the market, Minguzzi was stabbed by B.B. and kicked while on the ground by U.B.

While Minguzzi, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital, the 2 suspects who fled were caught and arrested.

Minguzzi's grave in Bahçelievler, who passed away in the hospital on February 9, was also damaged, and it was decided that the 67-year-old suspect, D.A., would be arrested for the crime of "damaging places of worship and cemeteries."

The trial of the 2 juvenile suspects arrested in connection with the murder, who face up to 24 years in prison each, was adjourned until May 8.
