Suspect with 53 prior criminal records caught thanks to stolen shoes

In Bursa, a suspect with 53 prior criminal records managed to disappear after stealing jewelry and electronic goods worth approximately 400 thousand liras without being caught on security cameras. Speaking with informants, teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Theft Bureau caught the suspect through the shoes he had stolen.

Oğuzhan U., who has a total of 53 criminal records for various offenses in Bursa, entered 3 separate buildings in the Nilüfer district and stole jewelry and electronic goods worth approximately 400 thousand liras. Launching an investigation upon receiving reports, teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Theft Bureau did not find any security cameras at the addresses where the thefts occurred. Intensifying their efforts to track down the suspect who left no evidence behind, the teams learned that the suspect had also stolen makeup and a pair of shoes. Identifying the suspect through the stolen shoes, the police conducted an operation on the thief's home with a prosecutor's warrant. During the operation, the stolen makeup and jewelry were discovered during a search of the house. Confessing to his crimes, Oğuzhan U. was arrested by the court to which he was referred at the courthouse and sent to prison.
