Suspects who damaged property at girls' dormitory apprehended
Four suspects who damaged students' belongings at the Cevizlibağ Girls' Dormitory have been apprehended.
The development was announced on the Istanbul Police Department's social media account.
The post included the following statements:
"Following investigations into footage shared on some social media platforms regarding damage to students' personal belongings at a girls' #dormitory, 4 suspects have been apprehended."

WHAT HAPPENED?
Students staying at the KYK girls' dormitory in Cevizlibağ brought the situation to public attention after noticing upon their return from the break that their belongings in their rooms had been rummaged through and many items were missing.
The students' suitcases were opened, their contents were scattered, and the locks on their lockers were broken.
After reports regarding the incident quickly became a trending topic on social media, the Ministry of Youth and Sports announced that an investigation had been launched into the allegations concerning the Istanbul Atatürk Student Dormitory.
