Suspects who fired into the air as CHP vehicle passed arrested
In the Çumra district of Konya, 2 suspects who fired into the air with a blank-firing pistol after a CHP sound vehicle passed by have been arrested on charges of armed threat.
As the Republican People's Party's (CHP) sound vehicle was in the industrial site of the Çumra district yesterday around 16:00 to promote the party's rally to be held in Konya tomorrow, M.K. (22) and B.D. (28), who emerged from a workplace, fired into the air behind the vehicle with a blank-firing pistol.
Following the incident, party members went to the police station and filed a complaint.
Upon the complaint, the 2 individuals were taken into custody within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Çumra Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The suspects were arrested by the court they were brought before on charges of 'armed threat' and sent to prison.
