Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg visits 'Açık Radyo'
Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg visited Açık Radyo, whose terrestrial broadcast was terminated on October 16. Thunberg visited Editor-in-Chief Ömer Madra in his office and conveyed her support.
Açık Radyo, which has been on the air for approximately 29 years, had its terrestrial broadcast license terminated on October 16 on the grounds that it did not comply with a program suspension penalty imposed by RTÜK due to the use of the phrase "Armenian genocide".
While the legal process regarding whether Açık Radyo will be reopened continues, world-renowned climate activist Greta Thunberg paid a support visit to Açık Radyo Editor-in-Chief Ömer Madra, one of the most knowledgeable figures in Turkey on environmental issues.
Thunberg, who visited him in his office, conveyed her support for Açık Radyo.
