Swimming ban imposed in that province today
In Sinop, a ban on swimming was imposed in certain areas on Sunday, June 30, due to adverse weather conditions expected in the city.
In a written statement issued by the Sinop Governor's Office, it was stated that the Provincial Public Health Board convened under the chairmanship of Governor Mustafa Özarslan.
The statement noted the following:
"According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is estimated that in the northern parts of our province, extending to Türkeli, Ayancık, Sarıkum, İnceburun, Hamsilos, Akliman, Kumkapı, and Adabaşı, wave heights will be between 1 and 1.4 meters, and the wind will blow from the west and north-west at a speed of 25-30 kilometers per hour in the form of a storm. Accordingly, in order to ensure and protect the life and property safety of our citizens, swimming is prohibited on Sunday, June 30, on the northern coasts of our province, including the coasts of our Türkeli district, as well as Ayancık, Erfelek, Sarıkum, İnceburun, Hamsilos, Akliman, Kumkapı, and Adabaşı."
