Swimming banned in 2 provinces

Swimming has been temporarily banned in the Karasu and Kocaali districts of Sakarya, which have coastlines on the Black Sea, as well as in the Akçakoca district of Düzce.

As part of the decision taken due to unfavorable weather and sea conditions, the district governorships in Sakarya have decided not to allow entry into the sea. Lifeguard teams from the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality working on the beaches are also warning citizens by changing the flags to red.

In the Akçakoca district of Düzce, swimming has also been banned on all beaches and coastlines for similar reasons. The Akçakoca District Governorship reported that adverse weather and sea conditions are affecting the coastal areas along the Black Sea.

Lifeguard teams continue to issue warnings against entering the sea by using the red flag practice on the beaches. Authorities state that citizens must comply with the decision taken for safety purposes.
