Tahir Sarıkaya arrested: On charges of blackmail
Tahir Sarıkaya has been arrested as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Sarıkaya, who was detained last night as part of the investigation conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has completed his processing at the gendarmerie.
Following the procedures, Sarıkaya was taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
After giving his statement at the prosecutor's office, Sarıkaya was arrested on charges of "blackmail."

Journalist Tahir Sarıkaya was detained by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) branch teams as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Organized Crime Investigation Bureau.
It was stated that within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that there were high-amount money inflows and transfers of unknown origin in Sarıkaya's accounts, and that some of these transfers were moved to crypto accounts.
Cem Küçük, who was also detained as part of the same investigation on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information" and "blackmail," was arrested by the judgeship on August 1.
