Taksim Metro Station to be closed: Metro İstanbul announces
In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the Taksim Station of the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro line will be closed starting from 10:00 AM on Sunday, June 21.
In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the Taksim Station of the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro line and the F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular line will be closed to operations starting from 10:00 AM on Sunday, June 21, until further notice.
'TAKSİM STATION WILL BE CLOSED ON SUNDAY'
In a statement made on Metro İstanbul's social media account, it was reported that temporary arrangements have been made for certain metro and funicular lines in line with the decision of the Istanbul Governor's Office.
The statement said, “As of 10:00 AM on Sunday, June 21, until further notice; the Taksim station of our M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro line and our F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular line will be closed to operations. All entrances and exits of the Şişhane station of our M2 line, except for the Kasımpaşa exit, will be closed to passenger use.”
Metro İstanbul announced that trains will continue their journeys without stopping at Taksim Station.
