Tarım Kredi Market fraud: 4 people arrested

In the Kahramankazan district of Ankara, 4 out of 7 suspects detained as part of an investigation launched into allegations of fraud against Tarım Kredi Pazarlama ve Marketçilik AŞ have been arrested.

The police procedures for the suspects, who were detained following an operation conducted by the Ankara Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Bureau under the instructions of the Kahramankazan Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been completed.

While 2 of the suspects were released after giving their statements, 4 of the 5 people referred to the courthouse—G.B, E.T, A.U., and S.A.—were arrested by the court. Ü.A. was released under judicial control conditions.

While no information was provided regarding the details of the investigation, it was learned that the incident is linked to operations in the Saray neighborhood, where the headquarters of the Tarım Kredi Market chain is located.

WHAT HAPPENED?

An investigation was launched by the Kahramankazan Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following allegations that G.B., an accounting manager at Tarım Kredi Pazarlama ve Marketçilik AŞ, had carried out irregular purchases through companies without the goods acceptance procedures being performed.

Examinations revealed that 3 companies, which did not actually deliver any products, had received payments totaling 5 million 644 thousand 414 liras by showing fake sales. In simultaneous operations conducted by police teams in Ankara and Çankırı on January 7, 7 suspects, including G.B., were detained.
