Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) commission decisions published in the Official Gazette
Decisions regarding the election of members to Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) commissions and the extension of their terms of office have been published in the Official Gazette.
With the decision published in the Official Gazette, members were elected to the parliamentary inquiry commission established to investigate all aspects of the fire tragedy that occurred at a hotel in the Kartalkaya area of Bolu, to determine the responsibilities of relevant institutions and organizations, and to identify the measures that must be taken to prevent similar incidents.
A total of 22 names were elected as commission members during the election held at the 56th session of the General Assembly on February 12.
In the commission meeting held on February 13, AK Party Erzurum Deputy Selami Altınok was elected as Chair, AK Party Gaziantep Deputy Derya Bakbak as Deputy Chair, MHP Elazığ Deputy Semih Işıkver as Spokesperson, and AK Party Istanbul Deputy Nurettin Alan as Secretary.
Additionally, during the 57th session of the General Assembly on February 13, the terms of office for the Commission on Investigating Infant Deaths and Private Healthcare Institutions, the Commission on Investigating Violence and Discrimination Against Women, and the Commission on Investigating Violence and Abuse Against Children were extended by one month.
