An important step has been taken to keep the memory of teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who lost her life following an attack by her student on March 2, 2026, in Istanbul, alive. On March 8, International Women's Day, the Istanbul Electric Tram and Tunnel Establishments (IETT) launched a bus specially designed for Fatma Nur Çelik.

Çelik’s photograph and the message “We remember teacher Fatma Nur Çelik with respect and mercy. We will not forget” were placed on the bus.

This special vehicle, put into service by IETT, will carry passengers in the region where teacher Fatma Nur Çelik worked, on the UM40 Atatürk Mahallesi – Necip Fazıl Metro and 9K Atatürk Mahallesi – Kadıköy lines.

In addition, the name of the bus stop located near the Taşdelen Borsa İstanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Çekmeköy, where Fatma Nur Çelik worked, has been changed to “Teacher Fatma Nur Çelik Stop.”
