Temu has completely halted overseas sales to Turkey: Its offices had been raided

TEMU has officially banned users in Turkey from purchasing products from abroad. On January 21, it was revealed that Competition Authority officials had raided TEMU's Turkish office and seized a large number of computers.

With a decree published in the Official Gazette on January 7, 2026, with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the duty-free shopping limit from abroad was removed, a decision that was met with backlash by millions of citizens.

During the raid conducted by Competition Authority officials on the e-commerce platform TEMU's office on January 21, 2026, numerous digital materials and computers were seized, and as of today, the Chinese platform has implemented a major restriction on its overseas sales in Turkey.

SHOPPING HAS BEEN COMPLETELY HALTED

The application, through which products are purchased at affordable prices from many regions of the world, especially China, has officially banned users in Turkey from carrying out purchase transactions from abroad.

Following the change, users entering the TEMU application from Turkey can only access products listed by domestic sellers, while products offered for sale by foreign sellers have been completely hidden from Turkish users.
