Tensions flare during Berkay Gezgin debate, journalist walks out of studio: 'He is persistently targeting me'
Many young people were detained during the protests that began with the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and continued with his arrest. Among these young people was Berkay Gezgin, who coined the slogan 'Everything will be very beautiful'.
Tensions flared on the tv100 broadcast where these detentions were being discussed, and the debate over Berkay Gezgin ultimately led journalist Can Özçelik to leave the studio.
The debate between Ferhat Murat and Can Özçelik regarding the arrest of Berkay Gezgin escalated suddenly, forcing the program's moderator, Başak Şengül, to intervene.
However, as the argument between the two intensified, voices were raised in the studio, and Can Özçelik left the studio on the grounds that Ferhat Murat was targeting him.
