Tensions rise in Ankara's Kızılay
Protests continue in Ankara following the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu. A scuffle broke out between demonstrators gathered in Kızılay and the police. While police intervened with water cannons (TOMA), protesters responded with fireworks.
Following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, protests in the capital, Ankara, continue unabated. The demonstrations, which have been ongoing for days, flared up again in Kızılay Square during the evening hours.

As protesters responded to police intervention with fireworks and slogans, police teams intervened with water cannons (TOMA) and tear gas. Tensions escalated suddenly during the scuffle.
While the tension continues in the area where numerous riot police units have been deployed, the police have taken extensive security measures to disperse the protesters.
