Terrifying moments in Izmit caught on camera: Shopkeeper shot with a pump-action shotgun

In Izmit's Karabaş neighborhood on İnönü Street, F.S.Ç. approached Mahmut Ç., who owns a furniture store on the street.

The argument between the two, who were reportedly known to have a prior feud, escalated. Enraged, F.S.Ç. fired 4 shots at Mahmut Ç. with a pump-action shotgun he had with him.

Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Mahmut Ç. was taken to the hospital after initial intervention by medical teams, while F.S.Ç. was taken into custody at the scene.

Security camera footage of the incident has emerged. The footage shows the moments when Mahmut Ç. ran for his life, collapsed to the ground after a while while looking at his wound, and citizens rushed to help.

It was observed that the suspect fired while Mahmut Ç. was running, and the bullet hit the stairs on the side of the road.

On the other hand, it was also learned that the bullets from the pump-action shotgun hit the window of a nearby shopkeeper's store in addition to the stairs.
