An explosion that occurred in the IVF department of Sivas Cumhuriyet University Health Services Research and Application Hospital caused moments of terror. The incident took place for reasons yet to be determined in the carbon filter device located in the IVF laboratory on the second floor of the hospital.

Upon notification of the situation, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) teams affiliated with AFAD were quickly dispatched to the scene. There were no injuries in the explosion, but a chemical gas leak was detected. The teams successfully completed evacuation efforts to prevent the gas from spreading to the surrounding area.

While the investigation into the cause of the explosion continues, security measures in the area have been increased.
